As the Google I/O event for June 25 and 26 at San Francisco nears, we see more leaks and teasers for the LG G Watch and Moto 360 Android Wear-based smartwatches.

This time, Google's Android Developer Blog has posted some images showing both the LG G Watch and Motorola's Moto 360 prototypes running a tour guide application (see above). Some screenshots from both the smartwatches (see below) have also been posted.

The blog post by Roman Nurik and Timothy Jordan, Design and Developer Advocates for Android Wear, details their personal experience working on the walking tour guide app for both the smartwatches.

Last month, another Google developer advocate, Timothy Jordan, shared notifications from Android Wear and also showed the ability to add extra pages to existing notifications via a video. The notifications show a Nest panic warning message; a regular Calendar notification about an event, a pop up message from a game (Clash of Clans), and Pocket Casts playing a podcast of StarShipSofa science fiction.

In March, Google unveiled plans to help develop the watches and other wearable computers based on its own Android operating system. It's worth pointing out that Google revealed that it has been working with various brands such as Asus, HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung to bring watches powered by Android Wear later this year. The Mountain View giant had also announced that it has been closely working with chip makers like Broadcom, Imagination, Intel, Mediatek and Qualcomm.

Talking about chipsets for the Android Wear smartwatch, it has been hinted that the LG G Watch might run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, the same chipset that powers the Motorola's Moto G smartphone - the MSM8226 chipset. The news comes via an Android Wear dump files (via Phonearena) in which the code "msm8226" has been mentioned. The file also mentions the build number as "4.4W", which indicates Android 4.4 KitKat.
