• This is a great buy

  This is a great buy and I have had no issues with it. I question the battery life expectations however as I have not been able to use it as long as indicated. Overall this is a great price and a great basic computer.

  My laptop just arrived yesterday, so I hope I'm not premature in giving the 5 stars! My luck with computers has been dismal and this is my last brand to buy (after HP, Samsung, Dell, Lenovo) before taking the plunge to Mac. So far though I am thrilled with my Acer. It is far better than I expected and has some little changes that I've longed for but have never found in a comparably priced pc. For one thing, and I really love this, the keyboard has been rearranged exactly like I would have done it. The brightness control and the volume control are right by the space bar. I hate hate hate searching for the tiny controls on the small back keys when on a phone call! Problem solved. Also, there is NO wasted space on this baby. It has a full optical drive with cd/dvd burner. And ports are on both sides and the front of the computer. Plenty of ports! Another fabulous surprise was the lighted keyboard, which was not mentioned in any of the description. The monitor is back lighted too which I understand is better colors and runs cooler. I've bought a lot of computers in my life but NEVER have found all these features at this unbelievable. I have high hopes for this one; thus the 5 stars.
