Sony IER-M500 Features, Specifications

The Sony IER-M500 uses a 5mm dynamic driver. It has a frequency response range of 10Hz to 40,000Hz, 16-ohm impedance at 1kHz and a sensitivity rating of 103dB/mW. The earphones use a sealed housing and an internal acoustic structure designed to reduce external noise.

Sony also provides noise-isolating ear tips to improve passive noise isolation. The company says the acoustic setup is designed to reproduce low and high frequencies clearly. For connectivity, the Sony IER-M500 uses a 1.6m wired Y-type cable with an L-shaped stereo mini plug.

The Sony IER-M500 comes with fitting supporters and multiple sizes of noise-isolating ear tips. Sony also includes an adjustable cable clip to help keep the cable in place and reduce contact noise during use. The cable is designed to withstand repeated bending, and the company has tested the earphones for water resistance for stage use. The package includes a carrying pouch for the earphones and accessories, along with operating instructions. The IER-M500 weighs approximately 6.9g without the cable.
