October is the month of new Google Pixel phones, and this year, we got the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. I've been very intrigued with Pixel phones ever since their inception in the late 1900s, just kidding, the first Pixel launched in 2016. Feel old yet? I was too poor to afford the original Pixel, although it wasn't an expensive phone to begin with. Fast forward to Pixel 3, and I was able to get my first Pixel, and I've been an avid Pixel user ever since. The camera was and still is the best part of the Pixel experience, apart from the software.
Google Pixel 7 Summary
The Pixel 7 is Google’s latest flagship Pixel has an odd name given that it’s almost on par with the more expensive Pixel 7 Pro, be it design, performance or imaging quality. The Pixel 7 has the same core specifications as the Pixel 7 Pro, which includes the new Tensor G2 processor and the same primary and selfie cameras.
Google has gone with minor changes to the phone’s design when compared to its predecessor, but the Pixel 7 gets a slightly different matte-finished frame and camera module instead of the polished finish of the Pixel 7 Pro.
Software performance is top-notch and the same can be said about its camera performance which lacks the newer macro capability on the ultra-wide camera and the 5X telephoto zoom camera from the Pixel 7 Pro.
Battery life is quite good with the phone easily lasting a day and half with casual use which also includes some gaming and camera usage. However, wired charging speeds are relatively slow.

Wifi automatically turns offSudharsan T (May 26, 2025) on Gadgets 360All Google pixel phones have wifi connection issues. After few months of usage, wifi turns of automatically and this issue cannot be fixed. I have tried all tricks shown in YouTube and other sites, but this issue isn't fixed yet. Just type "Google pixel wifi connection issue" in Google and you can find so many customers with every model of pixel crying bcoz of this. Google has not sorted this issue. Worst phone for such a high price.Is this review helpful?

Not good for Indian usersPavan Kumar MN (Dec 31, 2022) on Gadgets 360Purchased 7 pro with preorder. Initially new phone euphoria was good. But then started realising Google is short changing Indian users. No 5g, no VPN, no prelaunch gifts like everywhere else. Going back to my old note 20 ultra which has 5g and many more user friendly features. Some basic features like double tap to screen off, auto answer on connecting to bluetooth headset need third party apps on pixel.Is this review helpful?

Camera is out of comparison in its rivalry and is all in the glory. Pics taken in pitch dark turn out to be super clear. Day time shots are a treat to the eyes. Battery seems strong so far and is performing better than my previous sam flagship. The UI is very fluid and smooth. Overall, I am elated to have it.Is this review helpful?
