  Lenovo A1000 it is a good budget tablet with a Mediatek MT8317 Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 which is a quite good performer in this price range. And the GPU is PowerVR SGX531u which is also good but not the best. The tablet runs on Android OS v4.1 (Jelly Bean) which is not the latest. The dimensions are 199 x 121 x 10.7 mm it is not the thickest but comfortable to hold. The back panel is not rubberised so holding sometimes is difficult. The weight is 340 g which is normal for a budget tablet. It has a TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours, Size 7.0 inches with the resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels (170 ppi pixel density). It has an inbuilt 4GB memory and only 1.03 GB is available for the users and 1.5 gb available for apps storage and 1GB Ram. The RAM in this tablet is a DDR2 version which is old. The good thing about this tablet is its two speakers which are on the sides of the screen the quality of sound is very good with good abplifier . It supports 2G through SIM card but not 3G , WIFI is also there, Bluetooth 4.0 which is a good one. The tablet has one front facing camera of 0.3 Megapixel and no rear camera. Battery is Non-removable Li-Po 3500 mAh battery which is quite good for average usage with 8 Hrs talktime and 366 Hrs Standby Time. Pros: 1. Mediatek MT8317 Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 2. PowerVR SGX531u 3. Dolby Digital Speakers 4. Supports OTG 5. Bluetooth 4.0 Cons: 1. No back camera 2. Only 4GB internal storage 3. No 3G support 4. Low resolution screen 5. Dull OR Washed Off Screen

  I have bought this tablet for 8k considering the price and the brand,having specs on par with nexus 7.But after 2 days of using this tablet I do regret my decision for opting this tab. Coming to pros: Decent dual front facing speakers combined with dolby digital sound ( similar to htc boom sound). Has a slim slot with calling option Price factor. CONS Limited storage options ,only 500 mb allotted for apps. No 3g connectivity Absence of rear camera and poor quality front facing camera. Inbuilt micro phone is too low cant hear the voice when on call ,need to switch to headphones Low resolution screen with bad viewing angles Conclusion Lenovos A1000 is affordable ,but it lags with performance and features ,from a reputed brand this tablet is a let down .If you are looking for features, performance and price(spend few more bucks) nexus 7 is the clear winner in the tablet range.A1000 is not at all recommended or a worthy product .Better luck next time lenovo. Ps: I have given the tab to my niece who likes to watch rhymes in youtube.

  except few things this tab is outstang....only 503Mb internal memory for applications. The device only gives warning to uninstall a few apps to free spaces very frequently.....front camera(0.3 MP) quality is very poor...no 3g/ no rare camera.

  Pros 1, Good Display . Good viewing angle from three sides. 2, Good Sound quality through speakers and headphone Dolby Digital feature is awesome. 3, Good battery backup since it is LI-Po.. 4, Good look and nice build quality. 5, 2G calling & internet. 6, Brand Value. 7, 1.2GZ Dual core + power VRSGX531 GPU. Cons 1, No headphone in the pack you must buy if you don't have one. No HDMI port 2, Touch is not feather smooth but it is ok type. 3, Battery and back cover is not removable but service centers are available for lenevo.and it is their own product and not re-branded so service will be better. 4, Memory for applications is only around 500Mb free so it will be difficult to install application with size more than 500MB.although 'Apps to SD' app is working fine and installed apps can be moved to SD after installation. Overall : The ultimate Value for money tablet for < 9K
