Black Shark is a Xiaomi-backed gaming smartphone and accessories maker, based out of Shenzhen, China. It has a presence in China, Europe, and South Asia. The company first made headlines with the launch of the Black Shark smartphone in 2018, and since then, has launched the Black Shark Helo and Black Shark 2 gaming smartphones. It first entered India in May 2019, with the Black Shark 2 launch.

Black Shark's latest mobile launch is the 2. The mobile was launched in March 2019. The phone comes with a 6.39-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2340 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels per inch.

The Black Shark 2 is powered by 2.84GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Black Shark 2 packs a 48-megapixel (f/1.75, 0.8-micron) + 12-megapixel (f/2.2, 1.0-micron) primary camera on the rear and a 20-megapixel (f/2.0, 0.9-micron) front shooter for selfies.

The Black Shark 2 runs Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by a 4000mAh. It measures 163.61 x 75.01 x 8.77 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 205.00 grams.

The Black Shark 2 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer.
