Obi Worldphone is a company founded by former Apple CEO John Sculley. The company was originally named Obi Mobiles when it was founded in 2014. In 2015 the firm changed its name to Obi Worldphone. The company is targeting emerging markets through its low-cost smartphones running Google's Android operating system. Obi Worldphone's latest mobile launch is the SF1. The mobile was launched in August 2015. The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 443 pixels per inch.
The Obi Worldphone SF1 is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Obi Worldphone SF1 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
The Obi Worldphone SF1 runs Android 5.0.2 and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery. It measures 146.00 x 74.00 x 8.00 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 147.00 grams.
The Obi Worldphone SF1 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
