Google added three new entrants to the devices section of its Play Store on Thursday in the form of Google Play edition Sony Z Ultra and LG G Pad 8.3, as well as a White variant of the Nexus 7 tablet. Google Play editions of devices offer a 'stock Android' experience free of customisations and pre-loaded apps that usually come on devices by OEMs.

Google Play edition Sony Z Ultra drops the Xperia branding, but otherwise boasts of identical specs with the Sony Xperia Z Ultra (Review). The device with a 6.4-inch 1080p display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Like other devices on the Google Play Store, the Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition is factory unlocked, which means you can put any carrier's SIM in it. It is listed at $649.99 in the Google Play Store in the US.

LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play edition comes with a 8.3-inch 1200x1920 pixels display and is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor alongside 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It features 5-0-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel rear and front cameras respectively and is powered a 4,600mAh battery.
