Jio Rs. 199 Plan With 1.2GB Data Per Day, Free Calls Launched; Rs. 299 Plan Offers 2GB Data Daily

Jio has added two new plans to its roster, giving customers more affordable prepaid plans with daily data allowance of more than 1GB. The new Jio Rs. 199 plan provides consumers with 1.2GB data on a daily basis, while the Rs. 299 plan offers 2GB of data per day. Jio is calling the two prepaid options its Happy New Year 2018 plans. Apart from high-speed data allowances, the two new plans come with free voice calling, national roaming, SMS, and app benefits for Prime members, just like other Reliance Jio plans. Already, telcos have started hitting back with similar plans of their own to take on the new offers by the Mukesh Ambani-backed operator.

With the Jio 199 plan that offers 1.2GB of 4G data per day for a validity period of 28 days, users will get up to 33.6GB of high-speed data, at an effective cost of less than Rs. 6 per GB. Similarly, the 299 plan with 2GB of high-speed data every day for 28-days gives subscribers 56GB of total data for the validity period. In both plans, the speed will be curtailed to 128kbps once the high-speed quota is exhausted. All other benefits are the same in both plans.

Jio prepaid plans

Apart from these plans, Reliance Jio continues to offer other plans with varying data benefits. The Rs. 149 plan with a validity period of 28 days gets you 4GB data in all, and is aimed at those with limited data needs. The Rs. 399 plan with 70 days of validity, the Rs. 459 plan with 84 days validity, and the 499 plan with 91 days validity all come with 1GB of high-speed data per day. The Rs. 509 Jio recharge is valid for 49 days and will get you 2GB of data per day. As mentioned before, all plans come with free voice calling, national roaming, SMS, and access to Jio’s services for Prime members.

Recently, Reliance Jio decided to extend the cashback benefits on offer for customers buying high value recharges. First launched in early November, the Jio Triple Cashback offer provided Jio Prime customers benefits worth up to Rs. 2,599 upon recharges of Rs. 399 or higher. Last month, the company had extended the cashback offer's deadline to December 15, and the offer was later extended to December 25.
