MTS to rope in auto rickshaw drivers to boost sales

Telecom operator Sistema Shyam Teleservices, which operates under MTS brand, is going to rope in auto-rickshaw driver to boost its sales across nine telecom circles in the country as part of its special campaign.

The company has plans to start campaign, I-Pledge, on safe drive under which auto-rickshaw driver can register themselves to win a auto-rickshaw of their own.

In addition to this auto-rickshaw driver registered under program will get Rs. 50 to Rs. 100 for guiding a customer to MTS store which the company expects help in increasing traffic at the MTS store and help in customer acquisition.

"The I-Pledge initiative involving Auto rickshaw drivers is a part of MTS' effort to engage and connect with communities in an innovative manner. This one-of-a-kind initiative will kick-start in the city of Ahmedabad in the last week of August 2013," MTS India's Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Leonid Musatov said.

Auto-rickshaw driver registered under the program will have to pledge that will drive safely on the road which will be determined through SMS send by passenger in the auto to an MTS number written on the back side of driver seat.

The driver getting the maximum acknowledgement and the votes will be declared the winner and will be awarded with a brand new auto rickshaw.
