Rs.160 For 1.6GB: Why Airtel's Sunil Mittal Says Current Rates Are Unsustainable

At an event, Bharti Airtel chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal asked Airtel subscribers to 'prepare to pay a lot more.' Mittal suggested that instead of getting 16GB data for Rs. 160, users should get only 1.6GB at the same price, although he added that the rates don't have to be as high as the US or Europe. Mittal also added that the ideal average revenue per user (ARPU) should be at Rs. 300 per month for the business to be sustainable.
