As mentioned, the warning will reportedly appear in the Linked devices screen. The report includes a screenshot, offering a glimpse at how it works. The warning will be shown at the bottom of the screen, asking users to switch to the official client to continue. Users can dismiss the warning.
Unofficial WhatsApp Web clients can leak data and files to third-party software, and using unauthorised clients puts user privacy at risk. Official WhatsApp Web with end-to-end encryption can be accessed at Web.whatsapp.com.
