The Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED 65 brings some interesting features and a competitive price of Rs. 64,999. Check out the review to know more.
Large-screen TVs were once considered only for ultra-premium buyers, as most of them used to cost well over Rs. 1 lakh. However, over the past few years, we have seen multiple brands launch big-screen TVs with the latest technologies at more affordable price points, and Xiaomi is one of them. The company recently introduced its FX Mini LED TV series, starting at Rs. 32,999 for the 43-inch variant and going up to Rs. 84,999 for the 75-inch variant. I have been using the 65-inch model for a while now, which comes with a price tag of Rs. 64,999. On paper, the FX Mini LED 65 looks like a well-equipped TV, but does it have the right ingredients to be the right fit for your home? Here's what you need to know:
The first thing you will notice about the latest Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED 65 is how it makes the screen the centre of attention. It has slim bezels around the display and a high screen-to-body ratio of around 98 percent, which helps the Smart TV look considerably more expensive than its price tag. The frame is finished in black and uses a combination of metal and plastic, while the supplied feet are plastic.

The Xiaomi FX Mini LED TV 65 is available in a single black colour option and offers an almost bezel-less display
At 65 inches, this one is obviously not a television you casually move around once it is installed. The panel measures 1445mm across and is 66mm thick without the stand. With the stand attached, the television measures 1445 x 312 x 901mm and weighs about 17kg without the base. Xiaomi supports a 400 x 400mm wall mount, so wall mounting is an option if you want a cleaner setup.
The two-piece stand is fairly wide, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to place the TV on existing furniture. Interestingly, the TV also comes with multiple mounting points for the stand, which makes it easier to adjust the stand to where you want to keep it. But do note that it still requires a reasonable amount of space to sit securely. Wall mounting makes more sense with this screen size, as it allows better, more secure placement.

The Smart TV comes with a good selection of connectivity ports
On the back, you get a fairly standard port layout. The connectivity options are all placed on the left side, while the power cable is placed on the right, which is a good thing. The left side features three HDMI ports, one supporting eARC; two USB ports; an Ethernet port; an AV port; an optical audio port; a 3.5mm audio jack; and two antenna input ports. The ports are placed quite conveniently, and you can access them even while installing it on the wall.
This Smart TV uses a 65-inch 4K QD Mini LED panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Xiaomi lists 76 local dimming zones for the 65-inch model, with a typical contrast ratio of 6000:1 and peak brightness up to 600 nits. Colour coverage is rated at up to 93 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut. The TV also features Vivid Picture Engine 2, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Filmmaker Mode. It also offers DLG 120 Hz Game Mode for enhanced gaming, though Dolby Vision is missing.

The Smart TV offers a 4K QD Mini LED panel, which delivers sharp picture quality
Coming to the performance, this is where the Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED 65 earns most of its asking price. The Mini LED panel does make a difference compared to the QLED ones in a similar price range. The panel offers plenty of detail. The large screen makes it a delight to watch movies or series from a sensible viewing distance. The colours look vibrant, and the blacks are good too, though not OLED-level; you can still enjoy dark scenes with more depth than a conventional LCD panel.
I watched Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on this Smart TV, and the colours came out quite lively. The details were present, and there wasn't much ‘blooming,' which is common on TVs this size. The Filmmaker Mode adjusts the brightness and colours to showcase them closer to the source.

The TV comes with different Picture Modes, including Standard, Music, Movie, Sports, and so on. You can also customise the backlight, colours, brightness, and more in Custom mode. More importantly, you can choose colour profiles for STV and apps, or change them by pressing the Home button for a few seconds.
The only downside is that the panel doesn't support Dolby Vision. This can be disappointing for some. Moving on, the MEMC works well with motion, and you also get DLG 120Hz support. That being said, the panel natively support 60Hz. The DLG boost it to play at 120Hz, though it does not turn the display into a true 4K 120Hz television.
Coming to the software, the latest Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED is basically a Fire TV. The user interface will look quite similar to that of anyone who has used a Fire TV Stick in the past. The home screen is pretty straightforward, and you get all the installed apps and content recommendations. The App Store offers almost all streaming applications, along with other major apps, for Fire TV. In day-to-day use, Fire TV is fairly easy to navigate, with a small learning curve. I liked that you can create up to six profiles, which is useful for customising recommendations for different family members.

The Smart TV runs on the latest version of the Fire TV operating system
However, I did notice some lag when navigating the user interface of the TV, which is one of the areas where the OS needs some refinement. Also, there are times when you wish you had better controls in the Settings menu so that you can customise it more effectively. Moreover, no Google TV also means that Chromecast will not be part of the package, although Xiaomi does offer AirPlay 2 and Miracast options.
Coming to the performance, the Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED 65 is powered by the quad-core Cortex-A55 processor with a Mali-G52 2EE MC1 GPU. The Smart TV also packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage is generous, making it easier to keep a large collection of apps without putting too much stress on the Smart TV. Coming to performance, the Smart TV delivers respectable performance in day-to-day life. I noticed occasional stuttering, especially when switching between apps, and I sometimes feel that adding more RAM would have made it even better.

The TV also features DLG 120Hz, along with ALLM and MEMC. This makes it good for gaming, too. Although the panel is 60Hz, with the help of DLG, you can increase the refresh rate up to 120Hz, though it is capped at 1080p only. This is good for those who want better FPS while playing games. Moreover, the ALLM can automatically switch the television into a low-latency mode, which works well with my Xbox Series S console. You also get one HDMI port with eARC support, which is quite useful.

For audio, the Smart TV features 20W from four speakers: two full-range speakers and two dedicated tweeters. The TV also supports Dolby Audio, DTS:X, and DTS Virtual: X. The speaker performance is apt for a regular-size room. The speakers are decently loud, with voices remaining easy to follow while watching series or shows. However, the bass feels a bit wanting in some cases.
The Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED 65 Smart TV brings flagship-grade features and the happiness of buying a big-screen TV without spending a fortune. For Rs. 64,999, the Smart TV delivers almost everything you need to consume all the entertainment. The Mini-LED panel offers great contrast, good brightness, and consistent colours, which make it a delightful experience to watch content on this TV.

Moreover, Filmmaker Mode helps bring out true-to-colour scenes and makes it perfect for late-night binge-watching sessions. The Fire TV OS is decent, if not as smooth or as popular as Google TV. The four-driver audio system is decent, but a soundbar would still be a worthwhile upgrade. That said, the competition is close, and brands like Lumio Vision 9 (2026), TCL Smart TVs, and others also deliver strong performance in this price segment.
