  • It offers a longer filter life of 6 to 12 months

After launching the Mi Air Purifier and Mi Air Purifier 2, Xiaomi has now introduced the new Mi Air Purifier MAX in China. It has a bigger form factor compared to the previous two, and also offers a wider coverage area. The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier MAX is priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 19,600).

As we mentioned, the Mi Air Purifier MAX is Xiaomi's latest entrant in its smart home gadgets range. The air purifier comes with 'advanced mute technology' giving it a noise level as low as 34dB (A) in sleep mode. Xiaomi claims the Mi Air Purifier MAX is suitable for large areas of up to 120 square metres. The Mi Air Purifier MAX also offers a longer filter life of 6 to 12 months, depending on usage.

The air purifier equips Xiaomi's new air pressurisation technology that provides a particulate CADR of up to 1000 square metres per hour. This technology can adapt to the size of the room and the particulate matter present. Xiaomi has also created a proprietary dual air inlet system, which increases the area of air inlet and air outlet resulting in more efficient purification.

The Mi Air Purifier MAX incorporates a laser particle sensor that claims to automatically detect AQI (Air Quality Index) and display it on the front of the purifier. Additionally, the Mi Air Purifier MAX is also equipped with a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor. The OLED display also shows other information like Wi-Fi connection status, dimming, temperature, humidity among others.

The Mi Home app, available on Android and iOS, offers similar functionality by displaying PM2.5 levels and providing the options of timer switch and remote switch for users to manage the Mi Air Purifier MAX. In terms of design, this air purifier has a new magnetic door design for the filter cabin. It also has an emergency stop function that will stop the fan immediately if the filter cartridge is opened during operation.

Xiaomi India, had, in November, slashed the price of the Mi Air Purifier 2 by Rs. 1,000 in the wake of smog plaguing the capital.
