Gionee A1 Lite With 20-Megapixel Selfie Camera Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Gionee has expanded its A1 series of smartphones in India by launching the A1 Lite smartphone. The big highlight of the smartphone is its selfie camera, and its 4000mAh battery. The Gionee A1 Lite will be made available offline in retail stores across India from August 10, and is priced at Rs. 14,999.

To recall, the Gionee A1 and Gionee A1 Plus were first unveiled at MWC 2017, and both the smartphones were then launched in India in the eventual months, priced at Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 26,999 respectively. The Gionee A1 Lite, in comparison, is the cheapest of the lot, and it bears toned-down specifications as well.

Unlike the Plus variant, the Gionee A1 Lite has a single rear camera setup with the fingerprint scanner right below it. There are capacitive navigation buttons at the bottom of the display, and both the volume and power keys are on the right edge of the smartphone. It has been made available in Black and Gold colour variants in the country.

Gionee A1 Lite price, specifications

The Gionee A1 Lite was first launched in June in Nepal, and has now arrived in India for Rs. 14,999. As for specifications, the smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based on Amigo OS 4.0, and supports hybrid dual-SIM slors (Nano + Nano / microSD). It features a 5.3-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753V octa-core processor paired with Mali T-720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The handset offers 32GB of inbuilt storage with the option to expand further using the hybrid microSD slot (up to 256GB).

In the camera department, the Gionee A1 Lite has a 13-megapixel rear sensor with LED flash support and a 20-megapixel front sensor with soft LED flash support as well. The smartphone packs a 4000mAh battery that claims to offer uninterrupted usage for up to 30 hours regardless of Web browsing, reading or even consuming video content. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG. The dimensions of the Gionee A1 Lite measure at 150.5x74.4x8mm.
