Japanese company Sharp has launched its second Android One smartphone, the X1, in its homeland. Priced at JPY 70,524 (roughly Rs. 40,500) for unlocked version, the Sharp X1 is now available to buy via Japanese carrier Y! Mobile.

Compared to other Android One phones, the all-new Sharp X1 is way costly, and offers mid-range level specs. Google says that the Sharp X1 Android One phone comes with 18 months of guaranteed Android updates from the company.

The Sharp X1 features a 5.3-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IGZO LCD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The X1 is dust and water resistant and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The company is heavily marketing the battery standby on the Sharp X1, and is claimed to last for up to four days with just single charge. Sharp says that the phone can fully charge in roughly 3 hours. The phone packs a 3900mAh battery and ships with a USB Type-C port.
