The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is a polished and capable foldable that gets most of the basics right. Its slimmer design, excellent displays, useful FlexWindow features, and mature One UI experience make it one of the better flip phones around. However, the phone feels remarkably close to its predecessor in several important areas. Samsung appears to be taking bigger design risks with its book-style foldables while playing it safer with the Flip. For existing Flip 7 owners, the upgrade feels difficult to justify.
