Gameloft, a major mobile game developer that's known for games like Spider-Man 2 and Asphalt 8: Airborne, has now given out some more details on its upcoming first-person shooter, Modern Combat 5: Blackout. The title was first introduced in June at E3.

The latest details about Modern Combat 5: Blackout were released by Gameloft via personalised emails to its subscribers. The company announced the game's single-player campaign missions will be 'compact and dynamic.' Gameloft added that the new level design was redesigned in this fashion as the game's development team wanted players to "experience the story in a more intense and diverse way than ever before."

The email from Gameloft revealed the story will commence from Venice, Italy where the main character, Phoenix, is sent on an operation to "secure a transport of WMDs" preventing attacks from a group of terrorists.

Gameloft adds that Modern Combat 5: Blackout will have players set on a globe-trotting adventure, including Tokyo, where Phoenix is said to fight in a total anarchy situation.

The developer further claims Modern Combat 5: Blackout will be "visually stunning", and feature "thrilling action-packed combat sequences." However, the firm refrained from giving any exact dates or availability of the title.

Earlier this month, Gameloft also released 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' game for Android and iOS users. The title will be also made available for Windows Phone users in future. In the game, one can roam around a more detailed Manhattan city, and can take advantage of the open-world gameplay, which will let gamers explore more and fight thugs around the city, all separately from the main storyline.
