  • Nikon announces an entry level 24.2-million pixels D3200 Digital SLR Camera. It will be available in US in late April for $700.
Nikon, in a move to expand its portfolio of DSLR cameras, has announced an entry-level 24.2-million pixels D3200 Digital SLR camera. The highlight of this camera is that it possesses a brand new CMOS image sensor, which helps it to deliver an effective pixel count of 24.2-million pixels. Nikon D3200 has the same EXPEED 3 image-processing engine built-in as in Nikon D4 and D800/D800E cameras.

The company claims that through its 'Guide Mode', this camera becomes more intuitive and its operations easier. Nikon D3200 also comes with a D-Movie function, which enables users to capture Full-HD movies with the press of the movie-record button located above the shutter-release button.

The users of this device can also view and share the captured images wirelessly on their Android devices using the new Wi-Fi module, the WU-1a. As of now, there are no details available in regards to the pricing of this device or by when it will be available in the Indian market. However, it is expected to be available in the US market by late April for $700.
