Havells Epic Storm 400 BLDC+ Launched: India's First Super High-Speed BLDC+ Fan Hits 400 RPM

When you're shopping for a ceiling fan, there are usually two things that matter most: how much air it can deliver and how much electricity it consumes. High-speed fans are great for keeping a room comfortable, while BLDC fans have become increasingly popular for their energy efficiency. But what if you could enjoy the benefits of both in a single fan?

That's exactly what the newly launched Havells Epic Storm 400 BLDC+ brings to the table. Introduced as India's first super high-speed BLDC+ fan, it combines powerful air delivery with energy-efficient performance. The biggest highlight is its ability to reach an impressive 400 revolutions per minute (RPM), making it an interesting option for anyone looking to upgrade to a high-speed ceiling fan without compromising on electricity savings.

And there's more to the Epic Storm 400 than just its speed. From dedicated cooling modes to convenient remote controls, Havells has packed in several features designed to make everyday use easier.

Havells Epic Storm 400 BLDC+: High-Speed Performance Meets Energy Efficiency

The biggest highlight of the Havells Epic Storm 400 BLDC+ is its Ultra Boost mode, which pushes the fan to a maximum speed of 400 RPM and delivers up to 240 CMM of air. This makes it particularly useful during those hot summer afternoons when you want powerful airflow to keep your room comfortable. And the best part? You can activate Ultra Boost directly from the supplied remote with just a single button press.

But that's not the only speed option available. The fan also features a dedicated Super Hi-Speed mode, which operates at 385 RPM and delivers 235 CMM of air. For everyday use, there are five regular speed settings, with Speed 5 reaching 370 RPM and delivering 225 CMM. This gives you the flexibility to adjust the airflow depending on how much cooling you need, without having to get up and change the settings manually.

What's particularly interesting is that Havells has managed to achieve this performance while retaining the benefits of BLDC technology. The Epic Storm 400 features a 5-star-rated, energy-efficient BLDC motor with a rated power consumption of just 32W.

It also offers up to 65 percent electricity savings compared to non-star-rated fans, with potential annual savings of Rs. 1,900 under the stated comparison. For households where ceiling fans run for several hours every day, this combination of high-speed performance and energy efficiency makes the Epic Storm 400 a compelling upgrade.

The fan also features a powerful, silent motor, helping maintain a quieter and more comfortable environment whether you're working, relaxing, or winding down for the night.

Thoughtful Features That Make Everyday Cooling Easier

Beyond its impressive speed, the Havells Epic Storm 400 BLDC+ includes several convenience features that make it suitable for different rooms and everyday situations.

One of the most useful additions is India's first AC Mode AC Mode. Many households run their ceiling fans alongside air conditioners to help circulate cool air more effectively. With the Epic Storm 400, a dedicated AC Mode button on the remote automatically selects an optimised fan speed for use with an air conditioner, helping maintain a comfortable environment while supporting energy-efficient cooling. For best results, Havells recommends setting the AC temperature between 28°C and 29°C.

There's also a dedicated Sleep Mode for comfortable airflow while resting, along with a timer that can be set for up to eight hours. So, whether you're heading to bed or simply want the fan to operate for a specific duration, you can customise its operation without having to adjust it repeatedly.

Another useful addition is Reverse Rotation, which changes the direction of airflow to help in air circulation, keeping room well ventilated and during winters circulate warm air. This makes the Epic Storm 400 useful beyond the hotter months, too.

Controlling all these features is straightforward, thanks to the included all-direction sensing RF remote. It provides dedicated buttons for the five speed settings, Super Hi-Speed, Ultra Boost, AC Mode, Sleep Mode, reverse rotation, and the timer. The remote also includes an LED control, bringing the fan's different functions together in one convenient place.

As for the design, the Epic Storm 400 features a sleek, three-blade construction with a 1,200mm sweep size. It's available in six finishes: White, Smoke Brown, Cocoa Brown, and Denim Blue. This gives buyers plenty of flexibility when choosing a fan that complements their bedroom, living room, or other interior spaces.
