JBL Live 780NC Wireless Headphones

The JBL Live 780NC is comfortable enough to wear through an entire workday without becoming tiring. The understated design feels sturdy, the controls are easy to get used to, and at 260g, it never feels unnecessarily heavy.

The JBL Headphones app packs in far more than the usual EQ presets and firmware updates. From a 10-band equaliser and Spatial Sound to LDAC, LE Audio and multipoint connectivity, there's plenty to explore. The interface can feel overwhelming initially, but spending a little time with it pays off.

Out of the box, the sound leans heavily towards bass, but a quick EQ adjustment makes a noticeable difference. The result is a lively yet balanced sound that works well across music, movies and games, while ANC, Transparency mode and the microphones all proved dependable in everyday use.

The JBL Live 780NC comfortably lasted several days of mixed use during testing, and fast charging meant I was never left waiting long before getting back to listening.
