Lenovo Yoga Book (Windows) Review

By Jamshed Avari (Jan 2, 2017)
  • Good
  • Extremely thin and light
  • More comfortable than a Windows tablet
  • Digitiser for artists and students
  • Not too expensive
  • Bad
  • Weak overall performance
  • Extremely limited connectivity
  • Not suitable as an everyday computer

Ever since Intel kickstarted the 2-in-1 movement and Microsoft made touch support a core feature of Windows, Lenovo has been trying all sorts of designs and ideas for the next wave of PCs. In fact Lenovo is easily the most innovative, or at least adventurous, of today’s PC manufacturers. The company sells a range of flip-around 2-in-1s and tablets under the Yoga name, but also uses Yoga as a modifier for 2-in-1 models in its ThinkPad and IdeaPad lines.

Lenovo Yoga Book (Windows) Summary

The Lenovo Yoga Book is exciting because it is so fresh and innovative. The lower half is a digitiser surface, and works with the included Real Pen to offer 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity. At the tap of a button, the hidden "Halo Keyboard" lights up, giving you a touch keyboard. The Yoga Book has the guts of a tablet and is relatively weak in terms of performance, but it definitely has a wow factor, and could be a useful secondary machine for artists or students who take lots of notes.
