LG 48-inch Ultra-HD HDR OLED Smart TV (48CX) Review

  • Good
  • Compact size

  • Excellent software and features

  • Well-equipped remote

  • Very good colours, black levels

  • Pleasant picture quality across resolutions
  • Bad
  • Below average brightness

  • Somewhat expensive for a 48-inch TV

Among the types of display panels commonly available for TVs, OLED sits at the top of the hierarchy, thanks to this technology's ability to reproduce excellent colours, contrast, and black levels. Naturally, this also means that OLED TVs are expensive, and so far they have only been commonly available in sizes of 55 inches or more. While a bigger screen definitely makes for a better viewing experience, 55 inches could often be too big for your viewing space, even if you have the budget for an OLED TV. LG's latest launch seeks to cater to that exact requirement.

LG 48-inch Ultra-HD HDR OLED Smart TV (48CX) Summary

The LG 48CX Ultra-HD OLED TV is a unique one, in that it's claimed to be the smallest OLED TV available in India. Priced at Rs. 1,99,990 but available at an MOP of Rs. 1,35,000, the LG 48CX has the advantage of compact size, while offering the flagship TV experience of LG's CX range. The TV is suitable for use as both a TV or monitor, and fits in well in compact viewing spaces.

There's good sound, great picture quality across resolutions, and decent software as well. Even the remote is convenient with wand and d-pad navigation. Although expensive for a 48-inch TV and considering that you can get the LG 55CX for around the same price, the LG 48CX is worth looking at if you want a compact OLED TV right now.
