Xiaomi's budget Redmi 1S smartphone, priced at Rs. 5,999, will be available in its third flash sale in India starting 2pm IST on Tuesday at Flipkart for registered users.

The company, also referred to as China's Apple, has already confirmed that 40,000 Xiaomi Redmi 1S units will be again up for grabs for Tuesday's flash sale.

Flipkart, the exclusive online retailer of Xiaomi handsets in India, claims that over 350,000 people have registered for the third flash sale of the Redmi 1S. The Flipkart page has been lately suggesting consumers to register for each flash sale separately and notes, "Registrations will not be carried over. You need to register again for next sale." Considering that limited stocks of the Redmi 1S will be available in India, the popular e-commerce giant has revealed that it will limit orders to one phone per registered email ID per sale.

Xiaomi is also bundling a Micro SIM-card adapter and a screen protector with the Redmi 1S, and notes that orders will be delivered in 7-10 business days.

The company's budget Redmi 1S smartphone follows in the Mi 3's footsteps for breaking sales records with the entire inventory going out of stock within seconds in previous flash sales.

As of now, Flipkart has cumulatively seen 80,000 Redmi 1S units going out of stock in 8.7 seconds in its two flash sales thus far, according to the details revealed by the Xiaomi.

Notably, 40,000 Redmi 1S (Review | Pictures) smartphones went 'out of stock' in 4.5 seconds in the second flash sale, while the first flash sale saw 40,000 units going 'out of stock' in just 4.2 seconds.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer enjoyed much success in India with its flash sale model in the past, selling over 95,000 Mi 3 (Review | Pictures) smartphones since its launch in late-July. The company, also referred to as 'China's Apple', had discontinued the Mi 3 in India to focus on the Redmi 1S.

Considering purchasing the Redmi 1S? Do read our review before buying, to see if it really is the smartphone for you. We found that the Redmi 1S in several aspects surpassed many more expensive smartphones in the market, due to its reliable performance, great camera, crisp screen and excellent battery life at a Rs. 5,999 price point. The only major drawback we see is the lack of Android 4.4 KitKat at the moment - however Xiaomi had at launch announced it will receive MIUI v6 with Android 4.4 KitKat before the end of the year. Notably, we did not compare the phone extensively with the Moto G, as the successor of the popular smartphone is expected to launch soon.
