Videocon has launched its latest Infinium series smartphone for the Indian market, the Infinium Graphite, priced at Rs. 10,499. The company is calling the smartphone its flagship in the country.

The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and offers dual-SIM support. The Videocon Infinium Graphite features a 4.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) LTPS OGS display and sports Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on its front and rear panels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone comes with 16GB inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while also housing a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Infinium Graphite packs an 1800mAh battery with no word on talk time and standby time. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, and 3G.

Commenting on the launch, Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones said, "With the Infinium Graphite we are pushing the boundaries of affordable flagship devices, with which we aim to capture the emerging budget smartphone market of the country. With our Infinium range we are out redefining the Indian smartphone market which is now expanding from the Tier-I markets and is percolating into the Tier-II, III & IV markets. It is these budget markets which form our focus markets where we seek to elevate the smartphone experience with our latest offering."

The company earlier this month had announced a budget selfie-focused smartphone, the Infinium Z40 Quad, with a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera priced at Rs. 5,490.
