Located in Frisco, Texas, the centre will initially create 300 local jobs and offers space for an additional 200 employees, HCL said in a statement.
It complements HCL's US network of global delivery centres, which created more than 1,500 jobs in the US in 2014, it added.
"It also reinforces HCL's differentiated, multi-tiered global delivery model comprising onshore, offshore and near-shore capabilities offering measureable business impact, joint innovation and real-time collaboration with clients worldwide," it said.
The centre will bring added proximity advantage to HCL's clients in the South Central region like Dean Foods, Entergy, Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPSG), EFH, Oncor and other major telecom companies in the Dallas Fort-Worth area among others.
"The centre will bolster our delivery and solution capabilities in the US and enable closer collaboration with our customers and partners in the South Central region," HCL Technologies Corporate Vice President (Infrastructure Services Division) C Vijay Kumar said.
HCL's US headquarters are located in Sunnyvale, California. Its other global delivery centres in the US include Cary, North Carolina; Redmond, Washington; Jackson, Michigan; and Rochester, New York.
With more than 9,000 employees across the US, HCL's business in America contributes to more than 50 percent of its global revenues.
