Goqii Vital Fitness Band With Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Monitor Launched in India at Rs. 3,499

Expanding its portfolio, Goqii on Thursday launched the Vital fitness band in India with a built-in blood pressure monitor and heart rate sensor. The Goqi Vital fitness band has been priced at Rs. 3,499, and will be made available exclusively on Amazon India and Goqii health store. The Goqii Vital will be premiering during the Amazon Prime Day on July 16. The fitness band has a colour OLED touchscreen, a blood pressure monitor, and a heart rate sensor. It also integrates a new Goqii Play feature that allows you to stream live videos from health experts on the Goqii app. The company is offering a three months coaching plan free with the purchase of Vital fitness band.

As mentioned, the new Goqii Vital band is designed to help monitor vital stats like blood pressure and heart rate. The new colour OLED touchscreen display also shows you your steps, calories burnt, distance, and sleep details as well. There's a Sports Mode that helps you while running, working out, and even cycling. It also sends you phone notifications, lets you set an alarm, and has a built-in Micro USB charger as well. The battery life of the Goqii Vital is pegged to be up to seven days depending on usage, and the band is also touted to be waterproof.

"The new GOQii Vital band is designed to help monitor key vital stats like Blood Pressure and Heart Rate. It can report both Systolic and Diastolic pressure with a good degree of accuracy. However, it is not a medical device and not a replacement to a Sphygmomanometer (an instrument for measuring blood pressure). Patients with hypertension should consult their doctor before us," the company notes in a statement.

As mentioned, the company also introduced a new feature called Goqii Play that gives users access to health-based live videos from experts, doctors, fitness trainers, emotional health counsellors and health influencers via the Goqii app. The company says that live videos will be done at various time slots through the day and users can interact with them via the videos and have their questions clarified in real time.

"With Goqii Vital we have become the first company of its kind, to integrate a blood pressure monitor & heart rate in an activity tracker with the ability to seamlessly share the data with doctors, health experts. Data along with the right advice will help encourage people to pursue holistic healthcare regime and focus on a preventive health mindset," said Vishal Gondal, Founder and CEO of Goqii in a statement.
