The second-generation Moto 360 has reportedly been spotted in images showing the smartwatch once again sporting a circular design.

The image comes from Weibo (China's equivalent of Twitter) showing the possible Moto 360 successor with thin round bezels and a crown. The image shows detached bands which might be an indication about physical customisation on the next smartwatch from Motorola.

Slash Gear adds that the screen resolution of the Moto 360 successor has also been tipped to be 360x360 pixels. It's worth noting that the Moto 360 features a 320x290 pixel resolution.

Motorola has been rumoured to be working on a successor of its Moto 360 (Review) smartwatch for some time. Last month, a Lenovo chief posted an image showing possible successor to the Moto 360 smartwatch.

Lenovo's CEO Yang Yuanqing post was his revelation about the company's future smartwatch, which involved a lot of customisation of straps and rings. The image however was soon pulled down further cementing speculation that it showed the second-generation Moto 360 smartwatch.

While the two leaks do not match perfectly, they do not clash either. To recall, the Moto 360 from Motorola was the first circular smartwatch running Android Wear launched last year in September. The smartwatch segment however has now a number of smartwatches sporting circular design including LG G Watch R, LG Watch Urbane, and Huawei Watch among others.

Motorola last month added the Moto 360 smartwatch to its Moto Maker program. The Moto Maker customisation option for the smartwatch was available in the US and allowed users to customise their watches before buying them. The Lenovo-owned company has not revealed whether the Moto Maker service for the Moto 360 would go live in other countries.
