About Sholay Movie (1975)

Notorious bandit Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan) massacred the entire family of former police officer Thakur Baldev Singh (Sanjeev Kumar) and cut his arms off. His ill deeds do not end here, as the bandit chief and his goons love terrorising the small village of Ramgarh.

With the retired police officer unable to take revenge himself, he recruits a pair of small-time crooks, Jaidev (Amitabh Bachchan) and Veeru (Dharmendra), with a mission to capture Gabbar alive and get an additional reward on top of what the authorities have mentioned.

Meanwhile, Veeru falls for the local horse carriage driver Basanti (Hema Malini), and Jai develops romantic feelings for Thakur's widowed daughter-in-law Radha (Jaya Bachchan). Baldev Singh's mission is put at stake, and matters worsen when Gabbar swears to kill both Jai and Veeru.
