Until new technology is developed, we are stuck with Lithium Ion batteries and there's only so much it can deliver. The most obvious way to get more battery life is increase size and capacity, which is exactly what Gionee has been doing with its Marathon series.
The Gionee Marathon M5 prides itself on one thing and that is its unbeatable battery life. The phone will quite literally last you days before needing a charge, which is a great advantage for frequent travellers. The Marathon M5 is a quite a bit more refined than the Marathon M4, and Gionee has added some nifty creature comforts like an IR blaster into the mix. It’s one of the heaviest phones out there but thankfully, it’s slimmer than its predecessor and gets slightly beefed up specifications. The upgraded camera also does a decent job in daylight, making the Marathon M5 a good overall package.
