Battery life was never a problem back in the pre-smartphone era, but ever since we became slaves to touchscreens, it has been a major concern. Until new technology is developed, we are stuck with Lithium Ion batteries and there's only so much it can deliver. The most obvious way to get more battery life is increase size and capacity, which is exactly what Gionee has been doing with its Marathon series.

The Gionee Marathon M5 prides itself on one thing and that is its unbeatable battery life. The phone will quite literally last you days before needing a charge, which is a great advantage for frequent travellers. The Marathon M5 is a quite a bit more refined than the Marathon M4, and Gionee has added some nifty creature comforts like an IR blaster into the mix. It’s one of the heaviest phones out there but thankfully, it’s slimmer than its predecessor and gets slightly beefed up specifications. The upgraded camera also does a decent job in daylight, making the Marathon M5 a good overall package.

you will not regret to buy this, but wait for banks rebate offer which will be an aditonal plus point. Worth for technology its little heavier but that doesnt concern due to huge battery (6k).I did not come accross any lags, yeah when down loading apps sometime it couldnot and thats very easy to resolve take help from google or youtube. Over all a MARATHON

it could have been 5 star at this price range one expects display which consists of display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels.this is not full HD display 1920 by 1080, as in other devices of this range, rest all is fantastic,
