Rippling Poised for Valuation Surge in Series F Funding Round

Rippling, a prominent HR tech startup, is in the midst of a significant fundraising round, with talks indicating a valuation surge to $13.4 billion, up from $11.25 billion just a year ago. The anticipated Series F round could inject $200 million into Rippling, accompanied by a substantial $670 million worth of shares from existing stakeholders. Notably, existing investor Founders Fund is reportedly prepared to invest up to $310 million, marking its largest single check for a company round. Gaming startup LightFury secures $8.5 million in inaugural funding led by Blume Ventures, with backing from MIXI, Gemba Capital, and notable individuals like Kunal Shah and Gaurav Munjal. AAA games, renowned for their quality, demand substantial resources, making LightFury's investment crucial. According to Karthik Reddy of Blume Ventures, the venture stands out for its ability to attract top talent and industry believers. Founded by former Unacademy CMO Karan Shroff, gaming expert Anurag Banerjee, and Tina Balachandran, LightFury aims to capitalize on India's burgeoning gaming market, leveraging their expertise to propel the nation onto the global gaming stage.

Cricket Legend MS Dhoni Invests in EMotorad E-Cycle Startup

Renowned Indian cricketer MS Dhoni has made a strategic investment in EMotorad, an emerging e-cycle startup, securing equity and also endorsing the brand. Established in 2020 and led by Kunal Gupta, EMotorad is poised for significant expansion, buoyed by prior funding of Rs 164 crore obtained in 2023. Dhoni's association brings added credibility to EMotorad's aspirations, with projected sales of Rs 270 crore by FY25 across both domestic and international markets. With a commanding 65% share of India's e-cycle market, EMotorad intends to diversify its product portfolio, bolster offline and online sales channels, and establish a new manufacturing facility in Pune.
