Online travel portal Cleartrip has completely revamped its flight and hotel search products now offering a faster, simple and cleaner interface compared to the previous version.

While Cleartrip had already redesigned its user account and booking process pages, the new makeover of its search products, codenamed 'Tuxedo', will be noticed by more people as a larger number of people including the ones who're not registered on the site, use them.

The site now offers vertical tabs offering different search options on the left that expand to offer search options in the middle column and displays your last search and deals on another column at the right. The revamped site retails Cleartrip's signature minimalist look with plenty of white space between user interface elements, yet uses different shades of white/ grey to distinguish between columns.

new-cleartrip2.jpgThe search listings also follow the same design philosophy. The flight search allows you to view results in List as well as Calendar format. With the List view, the search filters are placed at the left, band the actual listings are offered in a tab format in the middle. The listing tabs offers listings from all airlines as well as two best fare options. You can even select between results for non-stop flights and for all flights. The right hand column offers a calendar that can be used to select dates, in case you're flexible with them. The Calendar view just offers a big monthly calendar with best fares for each date along with filters for airlines on the left.

new-cleartrip4.jpgSimilarly, the Hotels search offers search filters at the left, and results in the middle with the right hand column offering additional information. The Hotels search feature also offers a Map view that tags hotels displayed in the search results on the map.

new-cleartrip3.jpgUser interface elements like sliders, progress bars and tabs also sport a clean minimalist look, a departure from jarring colours and flashing graphics synonymous with most travel portals.
It's safe to say that Cleartrip offers a fresh take on travel search with a user interface that's friendly as well as pleasing to the eye.
