Windows 8 Release Preview will be out in the first week of June, Microsoft stated at Windows 8 Dev Days event in Japan. Release Preview will be the next major pre-launch version of Windows 8 from the company after it released Consumer Preview in February.

Release Preview is expected to be more stable and will be closer to the final build, which is expected to ship in October this year.

This news comes fresh out of Microsoft's announcement of Windows 8 Editions last week, which will include Windows 8, Pro, Enterprise and RT (for ARM processors).

There are no other details available right now about the release.
