Samsung Chromebox spotted online, may be priced at $330

Neither Chrome OS nor Samsung's Chromebox seem to be dead, as the latter was spotted yesterday on US retailer Tigerdirect. Featuring a $329.99 price-tag, Chromebox is Samsung's Mac Mini competitor based on Chrome OS.

It was originally showcased at Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. According to the product listing on Tigerdirect, Samsung Chromebox will feature 1.9GHz, dual-core Celeron B840, 4GB of DDR3 memory, Wi-Fi connectivity and a 16GB solid-state drive.

At a time when Chrome OS is struggling to get popular, products like Samsung Chromebox can actually help with the uptake.
