LG 42" LED (not so smart) TVVenkatesh Gopalakrishnan (Aug 1, 2012) on FlipkartVery good TV. I got for 56k in Jan 2012 which was a steal for 42" LED TVs considering the prices of other competitors at that time. 100 Hz Tru motion is really awesome when watching action movies from DVD or external hard disk. Sony 40" smart LED did not provide higher refresh rate & was more expensive. So dont just go for brand name. This TV plays every file/codec format of movies i've had so far. Dont buy this if you want to buy a "smart" tv because this TV & every other smart tv is really dumb. You can make any LCD/LED TV smart by hooking up a HTPC instead. Sound may not be that great, but its not great on other 40-42" TVs too. If you want good pic clarity for good price, just go for this. While purchase don't compare features of a 40/42 with 46/50 TVs. If you have the money & living room space, then go for bigger size. Else for avg living rooms size/bedrooms dreaming to own a big size TV, a 40/42 is probably the max you can go for. Giving only 4*. 1* less since its not smart. Please note, the above review is IMHO.Is this review helpful?
