Intex Aqua Style With Android 4.4.2 KitKat Launched at Rs. 5,990

Intex on Tuesday launched the Aqua Style smartphone with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, priced at Rs. 5,990, and is bundling a free flip cover along with it.

The Intex Aqua Style running Android 4.4.2 KitKat will join the company's other KitKat-based smartphones - the Intex Aqua Curve Mini, Aqua i14, and Aqua N15.

The original Aqua Style, launched in 2013 at Rs. 11,200, featured a 5.9-Inch display and has no discernable relation to the 2014 model.

The newly-launched Aqua Style is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device. It comes with a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The Intex Aqua Style sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The rear camera features Panorama, HDR and Continuous shot options.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, Micro-USB, A-GPS, and Bluetooth. It packs a 1400mAh battery. The Aqua Style will be available in Black and White colour variants.

The company at the event also announced actor Sudeep as the company's brand ambassador for Karnataka.

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Senior General Manager, Mobile Business, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd. said, "The Aqua range has been widely accepted by our customers across India. The Aqua Style has been designed keeping in mind, the need for style and quality. With Aqua Style, we aim to empower youngsters looking for a mobile that speaks about their personality."
