Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8.0 at the Mobile World Congress last week and soon after the company launched the tablet in India, though pricing and availability details continue to remain unknown.

Officially, we'd seen the Marble White version of the device. But now, courtesy Phone Arena, a Charcoal Black variant of the tablet has been spotted. Citing one of its "anonymous sources", the site received a "promotional photo" of the Galaxy Note 8.0.

As far as specs go, we already know what the 8-inch tablet beholds. It is expected to compete with Apple's iPad mini featuring a WXGA (1280×800 pixels) TFT display with a 189ppi pixel density. Running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the tablet has a 5-megapixel rear and a 1.3-megapixel front camera.

Measuring 210.8 x 135.9 x 8 mm and weighing 338 grams, the Galaxy Note 510 is powered by a 1.6 GHz A9 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It will feature 16/32GB internal storage options with additional expansion support up to 32GB via microSD.

Connectivity wise, the tablet boasts Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi direct, AllShareCast, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, A-GPS and GLONASS (3G version only). It will come with a host of pre-installed applications such as the proprietary and now upgraded Chat-On 2.0 messenger, Awesome Note and Flipboard amongst many others. It has S Pen support with Air View, S Note, S Planner, Email with hand-writing integration and more.

Speaking of colours, Samsung has been launching different variants for some of its devices. Earlier last month, the Galaxy Note II got two new colours, Amber Brown and Ruby Wine alongside the existing 'Titanium Grey' and 'Marble White' options. A Black Note II variant was also spotted in December last year, but that turned out to be a fake.

Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy S III mini also got four new colours last month. The Titan Gray, Amber Brown, Garnet Red and Onyx Black variants joined the already existing Pebble Blue and Ceramic White versions of the device. Yet again, India is likely not on the list for the device's availability itself, let alone the colours.

The Galaxy S III received 3 new colour variants in August last year namely Garnet Red, Amber Brown, Sapphire Black and Titanium Grey in addition to the Ceramic White and Pebble Blue variants available globally.

However, international availability of most of these colours for various Samsung devices is limited only to certain regions and carriers.
