The mystery surrounding the processor seems to have some what been demystified, thanks to an AnTuTu benchmark specs leak. Now another report from Samsung dedicated blog SamMobile suggests that the smartphone will be available in a total of six variants.

According to the blog's sources, the company's latest flagship Galaxy S IV will come in Black and White colours and each colour variant will further have 16/32/64GB storage options.

Here's the list spelt out more clearly:
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 16 GB (White)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 32 GB (White)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 64 GB (White)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 16 GB (Black)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 32 GB (Black)
GT-I9500 Galaxy S IV 64 GB (Black)

In addition, the blog also mentioned that Samsung may opt to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU after all. But then SamMobile was quick to update the info via an Italian blog suggesting otherwise.

Recently we saw the Galaxy S IV being put through the AnTuTu benchmark test, which revealed the smartphone as being powered by an Exynos 5410 Octa processor clocking in at 1.8GHz as opposed to earlier reports of the company ditching the processor in favour of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU. It was also seen running on the ARM-powered PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU.

The benchmarks also show the Galaxy S IV pitted against other devices like the LG Optimus G, the LG Nexus 4, the Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III, HTC One X+ amongst others.

Other leaked specs mention a 4.99-inch full-HD (1920×1080) display, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB storage options, a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording, 2.1-megapixel front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, A-GPS,E-Compass, G-Sensor and the Android 4.2 OS.

The specs are also indicative of GSM, WCDMA and LTE support. SamMobile notes that this indicates a single variant of the Galaxy S IV as opposed to the company's earlier high-end offerings in two variants. The blog quotes the Galaxy S III as an example, which had the GT-I9300 with GSM connectivity and the GT-I9305 offering additional LTE support.

The Korean manufacturer sent out invites saying 'Be Ready 4 The Next Galaxy' clearly indicating the launch date and venue for the Galaxy S IV. The Samsung Unpacked event will be hosted at Times Square, New York at 7PM EST on March 14.

We certainly hope to see various details pertaining to the device being revealed and also hope for a clean clarification for the confusion surrounding the processor.
