  • completely worth the money

I bought this tablet to draw as a hobbyist. This tablet came out in the year 2014. Before that I was using galaxy note 10.1 in 2013. I was happy with the 10.1 edition. But when this tablet was released The upgrades by Samsung really impressed me. (Also the price shot up too) But if one loves taking handwritten notes and drawing with a pointed stylus then this tablet is unbeatable. It even competes with professional drawing tools like cintiq.( I also own a cintiq 22 hd). The price is a concern but I conclude that it is money well spent. I mount a tablet cover ( by SNUGG) which helps me wrap this tablet around my palm with a band and the sketching experience is awesome

  • Let me put some sense into people who say this tab is not worth the money
Bhushan Lingamoorthy (Apr 1, 2014) on Flipkart
This and the Note 10.1 are directed towards digital artist who can make use of the wacom digitizer that comes on the display. These are not for people who just wants to consume media. If media consumption is what you want, for a cheaper price there are 7 inch tablets from samsung and other 10.1 inch tabs without digitizer from various manufacturers. The 10 inch wacom tablet with display costs more than the Note 12.2.This tablet is far superior from the fruit tablets, comparing a galaxy to a fruit does not make sense.

  • Amazing product, just re-assess your vision

Look at it this way, it will take care of my Mobile work (whatsapp and all), my Laptop (almost all computing work we Indians generally do) and tablet/ipod (if any). This is ultimate, replacement for Mac Air laptop even. Android apps, lighter than Air, no need for external dongle (sim-slot). And if it lags, tell me one thing which device having so much features doesn't. Also, how much time does it take to switch-on and off a laptop but here you could do in an instance, and write of course if willing to. Buy an external branded keyboard, and you're done! No issues with screen-size now, there's almost nothing which cannot be done on this. Unless of course, you are a Developer (but then shouldn't you have a Desktop). 5 stars for me.

  • Price not issue, Aimed at a distinct group

When you look at a tablet like this you might think it is a smartphone blown out of proportions and you are better off with an iPad. well then you might be right as this tablet is not meant for you. it is meant for a distinct group of people who need the excess of screen real estate along with good functionality of the stylus - which might on a whole mimic a desktop or rather a netbook/notebook like experience. such people will find it handy and useful and might even find the price resonable. most other features are same as a note 10.1 and normal population is better off with a 10 inch tablet. I will not go into specs as they are fairly obvious. the time i saw the tablet i knew it wasn't for me - but i was surprised to see that my brother (who bought it by the way) found it extremely productive. It might be because he is a Samsung fan. I am a fan of Samsung products too but this is overkill for me. it is heavy, arms ache, hold it in front of you for some time and eyes start aching and burning, you cannot use it with two hands without placing it on a table let alone single handed usage. but four apps opening side by side (one in each corner) is a real nice addition spen is great, screen is a bit dull though not visibly bad. think before you purchase this if you really need it or not. if not go for 10 inch tablet like note 10.1, tab 3 or may be iPad. better still go for an intel ultrabook laptop which will give both mobility and full desktop operating windows at nearly 60 - 70% of the price. I by the way am an apple hater and recommend Samsung products as i find them much more productive in multitasking, screen resolution and i like android OS for its user friendliness and customization.
