Acer has launched the Iconia Tab 8 tablet ahead of Computex that kicks off next week in Taiwan. The company announced that the tablet will be available starting Q3, but did not reveal its pricing.

The Acer Iconia Tab 8 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, and is the first tablet from the company to run the most recent version of the Android. The tablet features an 8-inch full-HD (1920x1200 pixels) IPS display and comes with Zero Air Gap technology.

The tablet also features what the company calls Acer Touch WakeApp, which lets users quickly wake up the Iconia Tab 8 with a touch gesture.
