MTS Launches Full Talk Time Recharge Offer for New Customers

MTS on Monday has introduced the "Offer Ka Sikander" scheme, which gives new prepaid voice customers a bundled full talk time plan, and provide full talk time on all subsequent recharges above a certain value for a limited period.

According to MTS, new voice customers will get Rs. 40 as free bundled talk time. In addition, these new voice customers will get more value on all subsequent recharges for one year - specifically, customers will get full talk time on recharges of Rs. 30 to Rs. 149, and 10 percent extra talk-time on recharges of Rs. 150.

The retail channel dealers activating new customer accounts will get up to 10 percent of revenue share for every recharge that these customer does for a period of 6 months from activation. At present the scheme has been launched in Rajasthan, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kolkata and West Bengal circles.

"As a Company, MTS strives to deliver the best value to its customers and at the same time keep the interest of all its retail partners in mind. Our latest initiative "Offer Ka Sikander" has been designed to not only provide enhanced value to our voice customers but also create revenue generating opportunities for our retailers on all subsequent recharges done by the customer," said Leonid Musatov, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, MTS India.

Interestingly, Sistema Shyam Teleservices, which operates under MTS brand name, in a tie-up Rapid MetroRail in Gurgaon is already providing free Wi-Fi services on all trains running on the 5.1-km long six-station since last month. The service, which the company says will be experienced by 30,000 daily commuters, will remain free for six months.

Apart from the Rapid Metro trains, MTS is also providing free Wi-Fi access on four stations including Sikanderpur, IndusInd Bank Cyber City, Phase 2 and Micromax Moulsari Avenue.

MTS has set up five kiosks on four Rapid Metro stations where commuters can procure Wi-Fi coupons.
