Alongside iOS 10.2, Apple has released watchOS 3.1.1 and tvOS 10.1 updates as well. The watchOS update also brings the new Unicode 9.0 emojis just like iOS 10.2, while tvOS 10.1 update introduces Apple's new TV app which brings various video services on one platform.

Beginning with watchOS 3.1.1, the update is compatible with all Apple Watches out there. This update arrives three months after the big watchOS 3 update. watchOS 3.1.1 comes more than 100 new emojis including shrug, facepalm, and fingers crossed. More diverse characters, new professions, and new emojis representing sports, food, and animals have been added. New professions include scientist, teacher, pilot and firefighter. watchOS 3.1.1 also introduces the ability to change skin tones when picking specific emoji characters.

Refer to Apple's website for detailed instructions on how to update your Apple Watch to the latest OS. In September, watchOS 3 introduced noticeable speed improvements to a platform that many had termed slow, and introduces an all-new dock with "instant access" to apps. The update also brought new watch faces, new workouts, wheelchair use, breathe mode, and more.

Apple has also released tvOS 10.1 for the fourth generation Apple TV. The big addition is the introduction of the new TV app that lets you subscribe for premium content from various video services and stream online. The update also brings Apple's much wanted single sign-on feature which will allow Apple TV customers to authenticate all the video channels from their pay-TV providers by simply signing in once to watch all of their network-TV apps. The option is available in Settings app > Accounts for compatible select service providers. Apple looks to broaden the reach of this feature by adding more service providers over time.
