Motorola Sphere+ Bluetooth Speaker With Over-Ear Headphones Launched in India

Motorola has launched the 2-in-1 Sphere+ Bluetooth Speaker with Bluetooth headphones in India. In the new design, Motorola has brought a 2x8W speaker with bass porting and wireless over-ear Bluetooth headphones, together to form a 2-in-1 system. The company says the Sphere+ won the Innovation Award at the recently concluded CES 2018. The Motorola Sphere+ 2-in-1 Bluetooth speaker with over-ear Bluetooth headphones has been priced at Rs. 12,999 in India. It comes in Black and White colour variants.

Users can dock the headphones on the speaker base to charge it. This means users can transition from one device to the other. Motorola promises up to 20 hours of playtime. The speaker and headphones feature passive noise isolation and 40mm drivers as well 40mm drivers. The speaker contains a built-in speakerphone that enables users to take calls. Meanwhile, the headphones come with touch control on the ear pads.

The Sphere+ features the integrated multipoint technology, that enables users to connect two smartphones at one time. It offers a range of 60 feet. Also, built-in controls, include volume, play, call answer/ end. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1 and 3.5mm AUX audio jack. Interestingly, the Sphere+ is compatible with Siri and Google Now. It also comes with overcharge, over-voltage, and overheating protection circuit.

Meanwhile, Shyam Telecom Limited, which the exclusive India importer of Motorola products said in a release, "Motorola Sphere+ is a great lifestyle product for home/office companion with its superb audio clarity. It is first of its kind device with 2-in1 speakers and headphones perfect for today's savvy customers. Our focus is to provide smartphone users an affordable-premium portfolio of audio products and accessories."

Apart from Motorola, JBL had announced headphones with Google Assistant support and water-resistant Bluetooth speakers at CES 2018. These are not available in India right now.
