My chromebook doesn't have any problems. The screen is just EXCELLENT!! However, it seems that 16GB ROM + 4GB RAM is not available anymore.

What's not to like?Well there's the weight, but that's about it. (its still lighter than my macbook, just heavy by chromebook standards)The screen is a great size and beautiful and the quality is on par with the Toshiba 2 I got for my girlfriend a few months back. The speakers are loud and distortion free. the trackpad is very responsive and has a solid click feel.Best yet I've always been able to run many tabs and experience no lagging.seriously... What's not to like?

I love this 15 inch chromebook. The larger screen is great and it is light for a 15 in. notebook. I recommend this over buying a cheap windows 8.1 laptop. I love the fact that malware won't install in this and it automatically updates by itself. It's sooooo fast too.

Awesome notebook, light, beautiful, with exellent screen, amazing perfomance for this (and any other, actually) price point. I guess it is about the best device you can buy for casual user with web-browsing/online movies needs.

The best piece of hardware i've ever bought!!! Bought this chromebook to have at my fire station while on shift to have access to youtube, absolutely perfect!!! Super Super Super fast, and very attractive looking. IPS screen is amazing for this price bracket. This is a no brainer purchase, JUST GET IT AND LOVE IT!

I bought this as a gift for my wife. She likes it very much. I have an Acer Chromebook C720 bought january 2014 which I like alot. But I was really impressed with this Chromebook. I liked the textured cover and the front facing speakers are WOW! the sound is excellent. I have to add extra speakers to get the sound this puts out. The Screen is very clear. I purchased the 4GB of RAM. Chromebooks are fast but this model don't blinkIn my opinion This model in white is very feminine. I like the small chromebook I have because of the small size for portability but I think now that I'm retired when it's time to replace mine I am going to buy a 15" in black.

Great laptop for the money, exactly as I had hoped.

I absolutely love this chromebook. I've had it a little over a month now and it's great. I had previously bought the 4gb Acer 720 which has an 11.6 inch screen and going from that to this is a huge difference. Plus the screen is 100% better. I found the 720 to have extreme blue hues and things weren't nearly as crisp as this machines screen.The only problem i've noticed is that a couple times the chromebook just completely shuts down. It happens randomly while in use. I tried to think if perhaps I was doing something during the time that would have caused it but i'm just browsing normally so idk what that's about. It's also happened to my other Acer chromebook as well. Maybe it's an Acer thing, I have no idea. It starts right back up but is a little frustrating if you're in the middle of something especially if it's during a time you're writing something on a website because you won't see that something ever again.Overall i'm happy with this computer as it fits my needs at the moment. I don't need to use skype/itunes or any of those programs so i'm not missing out on those. I would also recommend getting the 4gb model as a 2gb would most likely be too laggy.

Was a gift and the recipient loves it so far. Much faster than the windows based laptop it replaced. The large screen is great, too.

Bought as a graduation gift for my son. He likes the larger screen. The speakers are larger too,but not a substitute for full size speakers.The only negative - The keyboard has an odd layout,but he says it is easy to get used to.

It does what it does well

Fast for video streaming. Great screen resolution. We are happy with this purchase.

I love the simplicity and speed of the Chromebook. Everything is done within the Chrome we browser but the availability of offline apps is increasing. Important functions such as business apps (Docs, Sheets, etc) can be used without an internet connection and the files stored to the laptop or SD card. The reason I bought the 15 inch is that I wanted the bigger HD screen as a desktop replacement. The screen clarity is very good. That being said, the laptop is still light enough to be carried around. Acer's quality seems to be on par with the best brands. The touch anf feel of the laptop is great.

Just got this guy today, but it is my favorite thing ever. All I need is a laptop for web surfing, essay writing, netflix watching, and some organizational apps. If that sounds like you, you'll love it, too. 15" is also a perfect size! I love it. I named him Walter Louis Acer. I also have a 4 yr old macbook pro, but it's been kind of tweeking out and am afraid it may die soon and I will be left with no laptop. This Acer makes a great back up, and I think also is a great laptop overall.

My purpose is to merely render my two thumbs up and to say this Acer Chromebook 15 is awesome! What a brilliant idea to build a beautiful, clean looking, low cost computer while removing all of the "muss and fuss" (updates, downloads, and drivers yada, yada, yada) to which we consumers have become accustomed to fretting. I knew from the moment I turned on the power this was not like my Mac or my Windows computer. This Chromebook 15 is a new kinda animal on the block and it means business. My suggestion, should you decide to get a Chromebook, definitely get the 15" monitor. For me, this bigger screen is better than the smaller screens offered on most of the chromebooks. I love this chromebook! I've been using my laptop for the last few months and it's working great. I even moved cross-county and used in multiple hotels without a problem. The size is a little larger than normal however the speakers are on either side of the keyboard which makes them clear and easy to hear! I can't tell you how many times I've had distorted sound because the speakers are at the bottom of the laptop. Another plus is the quality of the screen! Colors are bright and sharp. I've watched Amazon Prime, Netflix and craft videos with no complaint regarding sound and picture quality. This is a great, inexpensive laptop for everyday use. Also, don't be concerned about the white color. It is easy to keep clean and have it stay that way.

A great Chromebook at a great price.

I would give it 4.5 if possible. I have thoroughly enjoyed this product (in fact, I am using it to write this review!). The screen is great, the sound is slightly above average and the speed is outstanding. The only knock that I can really offer is that the space bar can be a bit temperamental. I have the same problem with my ASUS laptop. All in all, its a great computer for those looking to search the web and stream media. It could also serve as a dual booter if you wanted to run a limited Linux distribution.

The laptop is well made and performs quickly. The display is sharp and has vivid color. Speakers lack bass a bit but deliver nice sound quality for laptop speakers. Battery life has been reliably long enough for any work day.I have used it for basic email, etc as well as some online activity and light photo editing and it hasn't choked up at all. This is a very usable machine and an absolutely amazing product for under $300. For many typical uses it is faster and simpler to use than machines 2-3 times the price.

Beautiful screen, loud clear speakers, tactile keyboard (for a Chromebook), excellent touch pad. This is the best Chromebook I've dealt with and I'd recommend it to pretty much anyone. My one knock on it is the white finish which will most surely need to be cleaned frequently, I think black would've been a better option.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any Chromebook if you have bought into the paradigm.This is our second (the other is a Toshiba). Setup took 5 seconds.It really comes down to screensize, screen quality, RAM and the CPU the manufacturer happens to be using.I think it is worth it to go for 4GB. Chrome seems to eat more and more memory with all the caching it wants to do.I opted for a better screen as well on both my models.We use this big one to watch tv in bed. Otherwise I think the smaller form factor 11" is the optimum size for using around the house and travel.This size is significantly heavier.The only other minor detail to consider is mousepad feel and response. But now we are getting into the finepoints that few will care about.Buy a Chromebook and leave microsoft behind. We just built a new PC and it took 3 days to get Windows up to speed. Just night and day between the two models of computing.

Dear Windows, Our time together has been great, but it's time we go our separate ways. I'm leaving you for my new Chromebook who is extremely handsome, very fast, and has a beautiful screen (that I can actually see while sitting in the sun). My Chromebook has EVERYTHING I need, from CRMs for business, to spreadsheets, and presentation creators and so much more. There is simply no reason for me to wait 10 minutes for my Windows machine to boot up, bring it to my tech guy to remove the viruses every so often, and reboot reboot reboot every time it crashes. In short, I'm just so happy with my Chromebook. This was probably the best $300 I've ever spent.8/22/15 Update: This thing is great! Now that I've been using it a bit, here is what I really like:Absolutely no boot up time...seriously! I got this for my 80 year old mother who started out using a WebTV for internet 15 years ago and then we switched her to a Windows computer a few years ago and she had always had problems adjusting to using Windows after a few weeks she is really enjoying the Chromebook and having no problems.

Awesome computer for the price!

I ordered this chromebook a little over a month ago, and so far, I've loved it. I just graduated from college and didn't need a heavy duty laptop and primarily use this for streaming Netflix and such, and this has been perfect. The HD screen is phenomenal. My only complaint is that I have a black mouse and it has stained the white exterior of the chromebook, but I knew that this would happen when I ordered it, so I can't really be upset. I'd recommend this to anyone I know!
