  • Follows the legacy of ROG series, best gaming laptop at this price.
JJ (Jan 17, 2016) on Amazon
Best laptop at this price. Some people out there say that Lenevo Y50-70 is a better choice but I want to clarify that its lowest model costing at around 85k comes with Intel i7 4700 HQ which is obviously gives lower performance than that of Asus ROG GL552 JX which is equipped with i7 4750HQ.The second thing is graphics card, although Y 50-70 lowest variant is equipped with Nvidia GTX 860M but theres not much difference between GTX 950M of ROG GL552JX. So according to me this is the best choice. This laptop is equipped with best keyboard, u will get best typing experience on this laptop, backlight adds more glory.Cooling system of this laptop is best, never heats up no matter whch game you play at highest settings.Battery is even good, everyone should consider playing high graphic games with plugged in source.

I had used a lot of gaming laptops ( including flagdhips) but Asus is the only company that provides unmatched performance with excellent cooling. Asus is fond of impressive cooling in their laptop which increases cpu and gpu performance with chances of overclocking.

  • it is the best you can get around this price range the only ...
Apochrahyll (Apr 23, 2016) on Amazon
I personally bought this laptop offline for around 73k (now that I'm writing this around 75k here?) for the laptop itself, it is the best you can get around this price range the only competitors which I know of being the Hp pavilion 15(with the green backlight): Cheaper and the Lenovo Y50 70: Costlier. The build quality of this laptop is great, although not much of metal, but still more elegant than what I expected. The processing power is no doubt good along with the graphic card which is great at this price, the ram is expandable to 16gb and you get a m2 ssd slot for future utilization, the screen and looks are good etc.The only drawbacks I found was a poor battery life (around 2hrs- moderate use) and speakers. Apart from it there is nothing much wrong in it except the provided Mcafee which uses up a lot of memory.Games on it run adequately good from the perspective of a moderate gamer, Advanced warfare and Gta 5 ran at Very high configuration (not absolute ultra) Far Cry 4 whereas was limited to only a High.Happy picking!

I can simply say. Sasta sundar tikau. Same features in another brands in range of 1 lakh. Or higher but asus provide better hardware and rich gaming experience.

Wonderful piece of work, handy, powerful, looks awesome, tough, the key layout on the keyboard would need some time to get used to, but that's understandable while switching laptops. They could have easily allowed changing colors of the keyboard LEDs, but that hardly matters to me. It's all in the performance, which is blazing.Handles windows 10, large scale development softwares like toys, I have a dog which jumps all around it all the time, but I hardly worry add it is both strong and flexible at the same time, while being wonderfully light. There is a chance you might get tricked while looking at the size of the laptop and them picking it up! Super light, easily upgradable, things are in the right place (except the power button, I admit), intelligently designed and executed.I would say "I hate it" if I had problems, straightforwardly, I don't Mrs around with words, but I love this intelligent piece of art from ASUS.Oh, I almost forgot to mention the sound factor-again, outstanding! Even has separate ports for mic and headphone along with an intelligently placed USB port which allows me to to connect all 3 things together from my gaming headset on one side, while all other things go on the other. You could last your head down and sleep on the keyboard given how spacious it is.Cheers!

  • Best gaming laptop, under 80k
    Darshan J. (May 8, 2016) on Amazon
this review is for G551JM,specs:i7 4710 2.5-3.5ghz8gb ddr3 ramgtx 860 ddr5 2gb750gb HDD15.6" full HD matt screenHD wecam and 6 cell batteryports: 3 x usb 3.0 ports, mic+headphone jack, midi display port and HDMI port.dvd writerI had been looking for suitable laptop for almost 6 months. After using Dell inspiron i was more inclined towards DELL for its durability. But dell didnt have laptops with quad core processor, only alienware had options but were more than 1lac in price.HP had options of gaming laptop but again with i7 dual core U series processors. Finally after checking with asus ROG series i felt these were most suitable, affordable and good quality gaming laptops.Best part of laptop - screen quality, processing speed, ram performance, HD webcam and battery backup.screen is too good, as its anti glare with accurate colours. The graphic design which i did looked way different in HP pavilion series laptops. I felt the screen quality close to my DELL U2312 monitor which is well knows for photo and video editing capabilities. Screen is way better than lenovo Y-50, with better viewing angle (170deg).Sound quality is decent but not as loud as lenovo Y-50. But sounds decent on headphones.Battery backup depends on usage, but on an average it goes around 2 hours, without gaming and moderate usage.Cooling is also too good in asus, but during gaming, every laptop heats and its not big thing to worry about.keyboard is also good with good backlit illumination. Many reviews mention its WiFi isnt strong enough but i have personally never faced any such issue. one of the major problem i have seen in this laptop is, the backlit doesnt ON until u login. Means, there is no backlit when u have to enter login password. I dont know how asus have missed this part. Its irritating to insert password when u are in dark, without the backlit.Unfortunately, i had seen 2 very small white dots in my screen within 3 months after purchase. But the service center was good enough to replace it in warranty. I have bought this model from CANADA and there was no issue for service in the international warranty.I would suggest for Win 8.1 users not to upgrade to win 10. I had upgraded to win 10 and after 2 months it crashed completely. I didnt boot. I was unable to repair the OS, cos its factory loaded win 8.1 recovery was erased by win 10. So finally had to get the OS reinstalled from service center. Fortunately this also didnt involve any charges since it was covered under warranty.I have still not found any other laptop which has configuration and build quality in this price range.Good product ASUS!!

  • go for it*

this laptop is the best you can get at this price, just go for it. been a month since ive been using this laptoppros:1.invest on an SSD and you have a laptop that performs at par with the best2. gorgeous display. the screen flikering talked about in reviews is not at all visible.3.keyboard:the red backlighting is alluring, however its not to everyones taste.4. packing is really nice you also get a bag with rog branding5. easy accessibility(without voiding warranty) for upgrading ram and hard disk6.cooling system is one of the best in its class7.950m is good enough for gaming new titles, however you are restricted to high for most recent games(i dont find any difference between high and ultra). you can overclock it using msi afterburner(terms and conditions apply).cons:1. speaker are good in its own respect but when compared to others like z51 its muffeled.p. s. z51's display looks muted in front of this ones2.a bit too thick (comes with advantage of cooling)3.battery life is not great but if you tweak power saver settings, in power save mode it lasts around 5hrsalternatives:1.dell inspiron 7559: if you can strech your budget that far go for it2.lenovo y50:comes with a slimmer profile(more heating), better speakers(bad display), better graphics(only slightly +10 frames at ultra), not as upgradable as gl552jx3.lenovo z51:better speakers.4.asus r510jk: go for gl552 if you can strech your budget, you wont regret5.hp envy 14:not as upgradable, (havent used this laptop)6.msi gp62:no backlit keyboard, a bummer if you like playing in dark environments(like me)

  • Excellent Entry level Gaming Laptop with a few drawbacks..
Anish (Jan 7, 2016) on Amazon
I got this laptop from an authorized dealership and I must say, the laptop is a beauty. Even though for the price it is underpowered (950 gtx ddr3!!),it's a good entry level gaming machine. Lenovo's Y50-70 on the other hand will provide 960gtx drr5 for 4K more.I guess the GTX 950m will help keep the temperature down.Pros:1.Good built quality.2.Superb Display3.Powerful4.Awesome cooling5. M2 Sata expansion slot!!Cons:1.Overpriced for the GPU. Could have at least provided a DDR5 GPU.2.No Maintenance hatch to clean the fans.3.Touch pad is a let down.

  • Better than MSI
Argha Mukherjee (Apr 22, 2016) on Amazon
Amazing performance, I just bought this few weeks ago & used as my workstation laptop for video & photo.. I never thought that I could find a workstation under 100k.. I just replaced the HDD with Samsung evo 500gb ssd & added another 8gb ram.. Its working like a charm.. Playing Battlefield Hardline at ultra settings.. & also happy that asus warranty & customer service is better.. I was thinking about MSI but its more than that.PS- I also added Samsung Evo M.2 SSD 250gb, this device is completely a workstation now, battery is not a issue here, if you are a gammer or Designer you cant depend on battery life LOL.Battery is for office guys (Nerds) who use business apps & view emails. Nobody can Run 3dMax, Adobe CC Suit depending on battery. Even for gaming. 1 Star short because I found the Build quality is not upto the mark, I mean its well furnished but not Hard at this price tag.. Be careful if you are using it Outdoor or Extreme conditions. And 1 thing, M.2 slot is Sata 3 ( Not Pcie) so you cant get 2200mbps ssd, you have to buy sata M.2 which is around 600mbps. MSI & other brand giving PCIE (Its needed if you are doing extreme works only, otherwise Normal sata ssd is ok, just replace the HDD & Fly..) .. LOL

Go for MSI gl62 6qf laptop. For the same price, they offer an upgraded version of this laptop. I can't review this one because I never owned one but definitely the specs out stands for MSI laptop and for the same price.
