The Ratchet and Clank franchise is developed by Insomniac Games exclusively for PlayStation consoles. The series follows the adventures of Ratchet, an animalistic human-like character who is also a mechanic and Clank who is a sentient robot. The duo explore a fictional universe and battle evil forces with exotic weapons and gadgets.

The games in the series are a mixture of platforming, action and role playing from a third person perspective. The Ratchet and Clank trilogy has been well received by gamers across the world and is quite reminiscent of the Jak and Daxter series.
