Assassin's Creed and Far Cry creator Ubisoft announced that its latest entry in the Tom Clancy series of games, Rainbow Six Siege, has been delayed. Initially slated for October 13, 2015 release date, the tactical shooter has been pushed back to December 1, 2015 due to player feedback.

"From the start, player feedback has been integral to the development process of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. We've used it to constantly refine the players' experience of the game," said Xavier Marquis, Creative Director at Ubisoft.

"After the Closed Alpha, the hands-on demos and the playtests we've held around the world, we saw that there were a few areas we wanted to hone in on to ensure we meet the high expectations players have for this game and for the Rainbow Six brand," he added.

However, the company added that the closed beta for the game is still on schedule for September 24. Players can register here. In addition to this, its full year financial targets are unchanged.

During our hands-on with Rainbow Six Siege, we found it to be a tense affair highly dependent on team work and planning. It was one of our favourite games of the show. A little more time in development never hurts. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Halo 5: Guardians all out before December 1, it allows Ubisoft's shooter a less crowded release calendar to contend with.
