India Funding Roundup: Bluegape, Mebelkart, Timesaverz, BookMeIn, LabsAdvisor

Bluegape
Delhi-based online content publishing platform Bluegape has raised $600,000 (roughly Rs. 4 crores) from ah! Ventures, Fidelity's Rudy Gopalakrishnan, and Times Internet, VC Circle reported. Founded in 2011 by IIT graduates Sahil Baghla, Akash Rastogi, and Ayush Varshney, the firm had pivoted from its merchandise business in December 2014 and had raised $200,000 (roughly Rs. 1.3 crores) from Gopalakrishnan and Ah! Ventures three months after pivot. The website received 28.5 million desktop users in July, according to Web traffic research tool Similarweb.

Mebelkart
Askme.com announced an investment of $20 million (roughly Rs. 133 crores) in Bengaluru-based Mebelkart, an online retail store for furniture and home accessories. Askme would gain a majority stake in the startup, Livemint reported. Founded in 2012 by IIT and Bits alumni Rahul Agrawal, Nikhil Saraf, and Ramjet Vimal, the portal claims over 90,000 products and 500 sellers covering 400 cities.

Timesaverz
Mumbai-based Timesaverz, an online marketplace for home service providers ranging from cleaning to plumbing and errands, has raised Rs. 15 crores from Ronnie Screwvala's Unilazer Ventures, Nextbigwhat reported. Founded in 2012 by Debadutta Upadhaya and Lovnish Bhatia, the platform is available in Web, and has apps for Android and iOS, and operates in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi-NCR, and Pune. The firm had previously raised angel funding in October 2014 and was the regional finalist at Microsoft Bizspark India Startup Challenge 2013.

BookMeIn
Mumbai-based online Web portal BookMeIn has raised Rs 2.5 crores in an angel round of funding from Ajmera Group of Companies, ET reported. The hyperlocal services marketplace platform helps business and customers find each other and schedule online appointments. Founded in 2014, the website lists links for business and consumer-facing apps on Google Play, but the links are currently broken.

LabsAdvisor
Delhi-based LabsAdvisor, an online marketplace for healthcare centric diagnostic labs, has raised Rs. 1.2 crores in an angel round led by a group of Indian and international investors, Dealcurry reported. Founded this 2015 by Ashish Bhatia, the platform currently only allows phone bookings in South Delhi and Dwarka, and plans to expand its services across the Delhi/NCR region. The firm plans to enable Web and mobile app bookings soon.
