Reliance Communications (RCom), part of the Anil Ambani-led group, has partnered with global Internet of Things (IoT) platform leader Jasper to enable enterprises throughout India to launch, manage and monetise next-generation IoT businesses, the company said in a filing in the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday.

RCom is Jasper's sole telecom partner in India.

This partnership pairs the capabilities of RCom's 11 data centre facilities and its Global Cloud Exchange platform with Jasper's global IoT services platform to enable enterprises to capitalise on IoT services, the company said in a statement.

"This also marks yet another step forward in delivering the infrastructure and IoT platform required to facilitate the diverse array of projects under the Indian government's 'Digital India' initiative," the statement added.

"We are pleased to team up with Jasper in this important deployment of IoT services, enabling businesses across India to build, implement and go to market faster, while gaining real-time visibility, control and service reliability," he added.

"India is investing a great deal to empower citizens and enterprises with cutting-edge technology and infrastructure, and as a result, there is a large demand for Cloud and IoT services," Jahangir Mohammed, founder and CEO of Jasper, said.
