Micromax Bolt A40 dual-SIM smartphone listed online

Micromax has listed a new budget Android smartphone, the Bolt A40, on its official site.

The Micromax Bolt A40 comes with 4.5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels. It is powered by 1GHz Spreadtrum SC6820 processor along with 512MB of RAM. The device runs dated Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash while there is a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

Micromax Bolt A40 includes 512MB of inbuilt storage which can be expandable up to 32GB. It is a dual-SIM device with support for GSM+GSM. Connectivity options on the Micromax Bolt A40 include Bluetooth 2.1, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi and USB 2.0. The phone does not support 3G connectivity. It includes a 1500mAh battery that the company claims can deliver standby time up to 175 hours and can give talk time up to 4.5 hours.

Pre-loaded apps on the Micromax Bolt A40 include EYE Room, M!Live, 3in1 Bubbles, Opera Mini , Hike and Spuul.

The listing was first spotted by AndroidOS which notes that the company has imported about 25,000 units of the Micromax Bolt A40 and the device will likely go on sale very soon.

The Micromax Bolt A40 will be the latest edition to the Bolt budget Android smartphone portfolio with Micromax Bolt A51, Bolt A34, Bolt A35 and Bolt A26.

Not too long ago, Micromax listed the Canvas Fun A63 on its official website. The Micromax Canvas Fun A63 comes with a 4-inch WVGA display with a 480x800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek 6572 processor paired with 512MB of RAM. It also includes 1GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB. The Canvas Fun A63 sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It is a dual-SIM device with support for GSM+GSM. The pricing of the device has not been revealed, yet.
